Join the Basin Recreation Open Space team for a hike to collect native seeds in the Discovery Open Space. Throughout the summer and fall, the Open Space team gathers seeds from native plants that are later propagated and grown in the Trailside greenhouse. Many of these plant species are important for native pollinators such as bees and butterflies. These plants are then used to restore areas in our Open Space that have been damaged or disturbed. Join us to learn more about native plants, and how to sustainably gather seeds!
